Live: Bitterly cold air continues, snow expected overnight
Winds chills will be near or just below zero Sunday morning and only warm into the upper single-digits Sunday afternoon.
It will be a cold start to MLK Jr. Day with feels like temperatures in the mid-20s area-wide. Plenty of sunshine all day will warm temperatures into the low and middle 50s by the afternoon. Another light freeze/frost is expected Tuesday morning with rebounding temperatures into the 60s by Wednesday.
Unseasonably cold weather settles in Saturday night. Tonight: Very cold with some clouds and flurries for some. Low: 24°. Sunday: Much colder and quiet. High: 35°. Monday: Stays cold with a breeze. High: 39°

Light to moderate snow is falling across the Chicagoland area this evening and will taper off by mid-evening, leaving us with just a few scattered snow showers during the overnight. Most areas will see an inch or less when all is said and done.
